Sovrun: Extending Hyperliquid Blockspace for Fully Onchain Games

Chain Architecture Components

Sovrun L2 is a HyperEVM-compatible rollup, featuring subsecond block times and parallel execution capabilities. Its derivation pipeline finalizes transactions on the HyperEVM (Hyperliquid's EVM).

Sovrun Sessionchains are time-limited/ephemeral versions of the Sovrun rollup with special precompiles. For more information, see the Sessionchains page.

Building on Sovrun

Sovrun is redefining Web3 gaming through Onchain Gaming & Autonomous Worlds. Backed by a16z and Delphi Digital, Sovrun is focused on building ecosystems where players, creators, and communities can co-create, govern, and evolve their virtual worlds. Sovrun combines blockchain, AI, and modular infrastructure to drive the next wave of gaming innovation.

Core components such as headless clients, account abstraction, game development abstraction, and ultralow latency make up the stack that uniquely empower game developers on the Sovrun ecosystem to create games that resolve their game state and logic onchain. Modders are empowered by the same set of tools although with different executions in mind (See Ecosystem section for more details.)

Auxiliary components on the other hand such as outposts, which are ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines found on other partner chains, and native user-onboarding platforms (see Gig) allow Sovrun's ecosystem to expand outside of its native platforms. Although Sovrun operates under its own chain infrastructure, its ecosystem's value accrual strategy rests also on outside interactions that funnel value and users back to the Sovrun chains.
